Essential Job Responsibilities
- Managing media content in all stages of production,
- Compiling research and relevant resources for podcast episodes and interview preparation,
- Pitching creative stories, conducting interviews, and writing web content, as needed,
- Writing scripts, copy editing, and publishing content on an as-needed basis,
- Soliciting, organizing, and handling interview bookings,
- Monitoring production schedules and maintaining communication with hosts and guests,
- Maintaining relationships with outside freelancers and vendors,
- Keeping various databases and internal systems up to date,
- Developing, reporting, sound designing, engineering, and editing interview-style and narrative-style podcast episodes,
- Assisting other producers with editing and producing podcast episodes,
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years experience in audio production
- Organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines
- Collaborative and creative thinker
- Committed to uplifting underrepresented voices in media
Salary starts at $60K + benefits.
