Wonder Media Network (WMN) presents the stories we seldom hear and the perspectives we often miss through a mix of original and white-labeled content. Director of Podcast Marketing

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Create, execute, and manage a variety of critical strategic plans for podcast marketing, business development, and partnerships for Wonder Media Network

  • Work with Chief Marketing Officer to implement strategies across departments and shows in a cohesive and precise way

  • Develop partnerships with companies, content creators, media companies, and influencers to amplify WMN content across a diverse range of platforms and industries

  • Grow WMN audience across online and audio platforms

  • Track data, analyze information, and create actionable reports based on this data for WMN and partners

  • Create and execute launch strategy for new shows, including packaging, marketing, budgeting, and executing across platforms using data-driven, innovative tactics

  • Design and implement technical side of marketing strategies, including interfacing with various hosting platforms, technical companies and vendors, and content partners

  • Advise WMN clients and partners on best marketing strategies for shows

  • Take action in all associated creative, design, and concept development for podcast marketing, as needed

  • Collaborate with communications team on social media implementation, advising on best practices and ideating on community building initiatives

 

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working within digital media or podcasting industry

  • Knowledge of best practices in the audio industry across platforms, including descriptions, meta-data, analytics, and content development

  • Experience with Apple, Google, Spotify, Stitcher, Simplecast, and other podcast major platforms

  • Demonstrated successful ability to pitch products and build partnerships

  • Keen understanding of audience acquisition in audio and digital media

  • Experience building out and executing online-offline strategies

  • Natural entrepreneurial abilities and spirit and ability to thrive in a fast paced start-up environment

  • Invested in sustainable journalism, storytelling, and innovative ways to deliver content to diverse audiences

  • Committed to uplifting underrepresented voices in media

Advertising Sales Associate

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect leads and coordinate outreach for WMN Original Podcast sponsorships

  • Assist WMN marketing team with advertising plans for a range of WMN original shows

  • Execute marketing and advertising sales strategies to meet key goals

  • Interface with WMN clients, partners, and potential sponsors on advertising opportunities

  • Work across departments to cohesively build and execute strong marketing strategies

  • Assist with other business development work, as needed

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in digital platform or podcast sales

  • Track record for successful sales at a high volume

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work across departmentally in a fast-paced, start-up environment

  • Creative, nimble, and innovative approach to sales

  • Natural entrepreneurial abilities and spirit

  • Willingness to travel as needed

Marketing Intern Fall 2019

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Create, execute, and manage online content for WMN platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram 

  • Work with WMN marketing team on creative strategies to develop and grow online audiences, and ensure a cohesive voice across all WMN platforms 

  • Draft amplification content for WMN shows, guests, and hosts 

  • Stay up to date on women’s media landscape across political, cultural, and business platforms to identify amplification and collaboration opportunities 

  • Assist with creative, design, and concept development

  • Conduct business development research and marketing analytics projects, including preparing briefing materials, stakeholder research, and analyzing media data

  • Prepare written internal and external organization materials

  • Assist in building and maintaining the organization’s databases and provide key administrative support to help a growing company scale

  • Other duties as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • Current college student

  • Available 20 hours per week 

  • Experience with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and posting platforms, like Hootsuite

  • Excellent writing abilities across a diverse range of online platforms

  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities

  • Desire to work in a fun, start up environment with opportunities for leadership

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate over online channels

  • Committed to uplifting underrepresented voices in media 

  • Graphic design abilities a plus
